Supervision

Caroline is an AHPRA board-approved supervisor who likes supervising other psychologists, who may be on their journey to the clinical college as clinical registrars or at other times in their career. Caroline enjoys calling upon her nearly 20 years of experience to assist other clinicians who are growing expertise in a new or developing area of psychology or implementing a new therapy and seeking support in best practice application.

Caroline’s specific areas of expertise include:

  • The treatment of trauma and PTSD
  • Mental health concerns in a military and first responder population
  • Attachment based parenting of children aged 0 to 5 years and beyond
  • Child and adolescent mental health
  • General adult mental health conditions

Caroline strongly believes supervision should be a safe space for psychologists to explore their emotional reactions, strengths and struggles. Caroline uses a coaching approach to help others with a range of evidence based therapies and would be happy to discuss supervision requirements and costs.

I am a Clinical Psychologist with twelve years experience helping clients achieve their goals. I have worked in Australia, Hawaii and now the UK with a diverse range of clients. I am happy to see children, adolescents and adults. I primarily practice Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and augment this with Schema Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). The decision about which therapy model to use is based on what will best meet my clients needs combined with what research indicates would be most effective. I am also a strong believer in the need to establish and maintain healthy relationships to have positive mental health. I use Gottman Marital Therapy with couples. In my work with parents I use an attachment-based parenting model known as Circle of Security. I have a particular interest in anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have additional experience with pre and post natal mothers; parents of children; military veterans; children and adolescents.
